What is Super Y? No, we aren’t talking about the great PBS kids program. This is a program that is designed for talented soccer players to continue to develop their skills over the summer months. It is a summer league managed by United Soccer Leagues, LLC, a member of the United States Soccer Federation. It is designed as a supplemental program for players that have the ability and desire to compete at a higher level, while still being part of their home Club team the rest of the year!

Why try Super Y? Top players from across the region compete together for a chance to move on to play in the North American Finals that are held the second week of December in Florida. Who doesn’t want to go to Florida in December?

How do we tryout? Tryouts start tomorrow, but there are two additional options. (Sorry for the late notice, this is new to us too!) Boys and girls in rising Fall 2020 age groups U11-U19 (2010-2001) can sign up here.

What if we make a team? The season runs from June to August, with typically 4 home and 4 away weekend games. Home games are played at CYA, Great Falls and local fields. Away games can be outside of Northern Virginia. There would be 1-2 practices a week from mid-June to the beginning of August. with practice days scheduled once the teams are formed. The cost is $425 per player, which covers player’s registration, coaching fees, uniform (home/away jerseys), field usage fee, and other league fees.
